• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Carrier Mission

Bump.

Anyone have any (more) suggestions?

I have tried looking through the SDK and I didn't find much other than racing info, the IsMultiplayer and player info. I didn't see anything on hosting a multiplayer mission session. I did learn that shared cockpit is disabled in multiplayer races/missions.

I would really like to make and have this mission mission work.

A few notes..Being I finally got around to this part of missions
1 To get rid of race countdown add a (Race info) mission object and set the countdown timer to zero,,also set other stuff to false and so on
2 The host disconnect internal error mayby because your MP partner does not have all your (original) mission objects. If you can load the file in multiplayer by yourself then this means you have all the files needed. Open the OPT and write down everything in the AI section of your objects.Make sure your partner has them?
Next is one must have Acceleration installed to use the (Mission) mode..Service pack 2 will not work and others will not even see your session at all unless they have acceleration

Wow!

Thanks for your responce! I thought nobody was intrested in this project anymore :(. I had stopped development and I am pretty sure the original source files are gone, but I am glad someone took the time to rebump my old thread and bring this to my attention. I'll start development again and see if I can get this to work ;).

Edit: Almost forgot to reply to your second suggestion :p. Yes, the other computer I was testing on has Acceleration and every time you would load the MP mission, when hosting, it would work fine, no problems at all. Just the computer trying to connect. Tried hosting on both computers.

O.K., Update time:

I've been working on the mission today, and I've got back to where I was (mission showing up, same error).

From the problem (The host was unable to launch the session due to an
internal error.), and looking at the dialog boxes while a working mp mission loads, I'm thinking that I need to load something on the client, as the dialog boxes on the Acceleration missions say they are doing that. Kinda simple logic, but hopefully that works :).

Also, adding race data makes sense because I can reduce the timer (thanks ;)) and it might do the client loading or whatever it does. Maybe I'll look at another (default) multiplayer mission for information and stuff that I might need.

Well, I don't have enough time, as I have too much work outside of developing Flight Simulator X stuff, but I'll try and keep this on my to do list.

If anyone gets any ideas or wants to comment, please do say something.

Ah, got it working, thanks noshades (at sim-outhouse).

I'm perfecting it at the moment, it'll probably be ready by Christmas :).

Everything is basically ready :).

Waiting on a reward from Paul Wheeler and a Str!king Software Installer from Ashton Lawson (may take a while, as they volunteered to do it on their own time).

Once all that is done, I can get it beta tested and released!

LOL

After a year, I finally got this working and released :D!

If you haven't heard of it already, this mission has a fully functional Acceleration carrier outside the San Francisco Bay Area along with a carrier camera which lets you watch takeoffs and landings. Do carrier ops with you and your friends and have fun!

You can download the SF Multiplayer Carrier Mission today at the following location: Download

Is there a way to have people be players even if they try and join after the session starts?

I just realized that would happen, cuz if people get stuck as observer, nobody can see them.
