• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.

Drawcall Minimizer & Crash

Hi Arno,

Got another error flash up and the draw call minimizer is taking a super long time again. Seems like the problem a few weeks ago has come back.

Bit late at night for me to attach the file before sleep. Will attempt tomorrow.

Sorry it's been a few days, windows decided to kill my FSX drive. Got your PM, I'm re-building the city, so I'll be able to nail which files are still giving me grief...

I've figured out one crash, if the filename of the KMZ is too long such as Stradbroke Tower _ Macleay Tower.kmz then there is an error while running the drawcall minimizer.

Problem solved by shortening the filename.

I am getting an occasional crash but it's random, and when I open ModelConverterX again it works the next time round. Might be a windows 8 with DX9 problem. I'm starting to think I might need to eventually downgrade to Windows 7.
