Arno, I have just followed your tutorials to add effects...

In MCX, I made a power station look pretty with smoke effects, the export went fine, but in FS I see no effects what so ever, I used the default effects to test it out... then a custom effect... but I dont see any effects in the simulator (FS2004)

Do you know why this is and how to get around it?

Hi Darren,

One problem in FS2004 could be excludes. Do you have an exclude for the scenery area where you placed the object? There is a bug that these also exclude the attached effect.

Hi Arno,

Well, that did make me think "oh that's why" since I just tested a simple smoke effect which was placed using EZ Scenery in the middle of a runway! and it had exludes all over it!

However, it seems not the case, I re-started my flight sim and the effect was their, so it seems that if anyone is placing their models via EZ scenery, allthough the model is their, the effect will not be their, that requires a sim restart.

Regards
