• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

I know you're still in the opening stages of developing this little gem, but I thought you wouldn't mind some feedback. I'm using the version of MDLTweakerII that I downloaded from the site today (27-2-06) so I assume it's the most recent. I've gotten it working just fine, but I do get an error every time I shut it down. It reads:

The instruction at "0x69660494" referenced memory at "0xffffffff". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program

It doesn't affect the ability to create a tweaked model, it just barks when I try to shut it down.

The only other little interface feedback I'd give is concerning the "save" dialog. When you go to save a file, the dialog says "open" instead of "save" for the main button. It's confusing if you bother to read such things. Of course, who ever does that? ;-)

thanks,

Hi Bill,

Yes, I have also seen that error when I ran it on another PC. I haven't had it on my development PC yet, but will try to hunt down this little problem :). And I will also take a look at the dialog then, probably just selected the wrong type.

But I first want to finish the seasonal tweak functionality that I started on some time ago.

Oh yes, absolutely! Seasonal tweak comes first. That's one I'm particularly interested in. :)

Had a good weekend (with enough time to work on this nice tool). So there is a new version available now that has the seasonal textures included. It has not been tested very much yet, so all feedback is welcome :).

Hi Aron,

I can confirm that I'm still getting this error message with MDL Tweaker II (v2.0.250)

Cheers
David

Hi David,

Yes, I know :). I do also have it on my PC at work, but can't reproduce it on any PC here at home.

I have tracked the error down as far as I could and it seems to happen after the last code I execute when the program closes. So it is something that happens when the program closes itself. I will search further after my vacation :).
