• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I spend hours trying to figure out if I did wrong or error or something missing. I already had XML, FWtools and SDK Installed before working on putting new scenery in FSX from Google Earth.

I carefully followed step in "http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=FSX_KML" Manual I'm confused on very close to bottom before and on "Tagging" the scenery Features section. I followed carefully in step two and build. I don't see any scenery FSX Addon.

Something missing, I need help!!!

Could you be more precise as to what is the problem you are facing? Basically you start with a GE where you create your polygons or polylines (the pushpins are not good for placing scenery library objects, they won't show that way).

Then you save it and open it up with FSX KML (unless you first created it with FSX KML and then pressed the OPen with GE button.

In FSX KML you go about the time consuming task (an eye sore, could use a lot of improvement here) of tagging things.

Save, compile and place on your scenery folder on FSX. If it does not show it could be there was a compilation error (pay close attention to the DOS window that appears during compile, check that the timestamp of the BGLs is correct, that might tell you no new ones where compiled.

There are some ocassions where things might not show. For example I have a polyline tagged with the Balloon01 scenery object and they don't show. If I use FSX Planner to place that scenery object then it does show, go figure. If I use the polyline for antennas then the do show. I also had a lake tagged as Non Perennial Lake and it never shows...

I think there are some bugs in there.
 
FSX KML Issue - Tagged

My most confusing part is "Tagging" the scenery features, I'm unclear understand the step and current version.

Version 1.10 (Beta) This is my first time download and first time use this software. I already just had EV_FWTool download and install per as instruction require in manual.

AFter I click Build message come up "I:\windows\system32\cmd.exe" black box area said "press any key to continue ..." that it. After I click enter next dialog box "information" build completed. There is no scenery file found anywhere in addon scenery or any other folder.
 
Make sure you also configured the "Output Folder" option on your project. If you still don't see any BGL (and a bunch of other intermediate files) after the Done window, then take a very close look at the messages in the DOS window. Don't press any key blindly without looking at the results.

Most likely an error has occurred, you still get the "PRess any key to continue" as it is no guarantee that it went well. Scroll back in the DOS window and search for the error, post it here.
 
I created new folder for Output Folder.

I try again follow the step and I still getting Black box "press any key to continue" There no scroll back.

In new folder, file contain backup folder, KML file and Run_SDK_Tools.

There no BGL file any where such as in addon scenery.
