Has anyone here ever used FSXPilot? It's a stand-alone third party autopilot program that gives you a little more control over the autopilot that comes with FSX. However I seem to have a slight problem. I can get the AP to follow the correct flightplan, but when it comes time to land on the selected runway, it lands with no problem, but it lands before even reaching the runway and sometimes actually crashes into a tree or something. I've tried a short approach, and a normal approach, both do the same thing. This used to work fine, but suddenly it no longer does. I'm landing at a Home-Made airport. I've added the ILS and markers and everything that should be there. I made the airport with ADE, is it possible that there is some setting with the ILS that is causing the aircraft to land before reaching the runway? I've updated the AIRAC in FSXPilot to add the new airport, but it still lands before reaching the runway. Has anyone used this program before and knows what the heck is causing this problem. Do runway markers have any bearing on AP landings? Should I try removing the markers and see what happens? I'm stumped. I like FSXPilot mainly because it has a little more control over the AP and is easier to adjust the controls than they are in the FSX program itself, plus creating flightplans is a lot better with more control over waypoints and such. I just want to fix the runway landing problem.
