I have decided to move the exterior model of my DC-8 into Blender. It's too hard working with two different programs and texture mapping is so much easier in Blender. I would also like to bake textures on the external model and while this is possible to do this in Blender while still compiling models from GMAX it would be cumbersome.
So, before I get started re-doing the animations, can anyone confirm there is still no way to get an existing GMAX or FSX model into blender with working animations?
