• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

GP objects at night

Hi,

polys and lines are completely black at night. Is it possible to add night textures to them?

Taxi light and landing light are not displayed over GP objects, is it a graphic bug with my PC ?

I would expect them to be dark, but not black. If the line is patterned, the pattern should be visible.

You can certainly add a _LM texture. It will be handled automatically. But, be aware that if you add _LM textures and the airport is used in FSX DX10 Preview mode, the lines will appear white at night unless you compile for DX10.

Thanks for the answer Don.

GP objects are displaying full black on my PC (and not dark). I can't see the patterns.

Landing or taxi halos don't light up my GP objects.

Do you think these problems are linked to layers values ? (mine are between 38 and 50)

I doubt it. If you see them, the layers are OK. It sound more like a texture problem e.g. FlightSim is expecting a _LM texture that isn't available. Any _LM textures in the ADE_GP Textures folders for textures that you use must also be in your scenery \Texture folder.

You can determine if a missing _LM texture is the problem by compiling with DX-10 checked. In this mode, _LM textures are ignoder.

Works like a charm now (night textures and halos are displaying).

Maybe a temporary problem with the use of RadeonPro software.
