I know I'm probably doing this a very odd way, but I'm trying to create a basic generic lighting ground effect that I can place wherever I want in the sim with an object placement tool. I've created a face in Sketchup, raised just a little off the ground, converted this into a mdl with MCX and I've applied a transparent texture to it. For the night texture I've created a circular 'light' texture, that fades out towards the edges with the alpha channel. However, the night texture doesn't display at night... If I make the daytime and night texture the same file, it displays. But obviously it also displays through the day, which I want to prevent. How can I get around this? Thanks!
