• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am preparing to launch a new aircraft line. The aircraft is a design project, a futuristic concept for a plane that would use modern day automotive technology and carbon fiber to produce a more 'modern' approach to a 4 place private plane. The fuselage is designed to create lift, taking some of the load from the wings. The propulsion system is based on the Tesla 470 HP electric motor (drive) with Tesla / Panasonic batteries in the wings and sections of the fuselage.

The cool thing about this product line is that it will feature a free download 'Demo' version that you can 'fly and try', see if it runs good on your system, and if you like it, you can buy the full version for a mere $7.00 USD. The full version comes with 12 theme packs (variants) and textures are 'ultra' high resolution for the fuselage and 2048 textures throughout the rest of the package. It will probably not run well on very low end computers, so I am letting people know that it is not a basic, easy to run sim addon.

I am intrigued 'still' by the cell phone 'App' market. They will offer a free download 'entry' App, and then they offer you a 'full version' and their pricing is 'affordable'. I wanted to try this using their marketing strategy.

All in all, the little 'Blade' (the name of the new plane, named after its sharp wings) is fun, looks very nice, has some cool instrumentation, and is 'fresh', not based on older planes. Should be interesting to see how it goes.

Specs and info are at www.lionheartcreations.com/Blade

That thing is flat-out stylin'!

Nice work Bill. Very creative! Someone should submit an editorial to Air&Space, or Popular Mechanics!

Bill, that's a crazy pricing strategy! I'm going to make it my goal to get everyone at my VA to purchase one!

Looking forward to its release!

Altough I don't like the way this aircraft looks (not because of your modellingskills, which are great) I have to say it is very interesting though! I love the cockpit and I wish aircraft developers would adopt this style of interior, because most small GA planes aren't really comfortable (at least the ones I flown)

The front reminds me of this bugger from GTA 4&5 though (same headlights ;) )

Some developers have a 'signature' to their work; that has yours all over it, Bill. Very LHC!

Congrats! Hope you enjoy it, Shaun.

I was in contact with Corning, Gorrilla Glass department, sales and development to see if they offer GG for small planes. I havent heard back from the lady in California yet. They took my seriously and wanted to know construction numbers, annual square footage amounts required, etc. I was trying to explain that I am doing a 'concept' and that it wasnt in production, just a concept. GG would be a major component. I think, if it was low in weight, would be a jump up for planes.

Anyways, the Blade has been officially launched yesterday. SimMarket was the first to have it online. The others should have it all going by this evening I hope. Then we shall see how the 'cell phone App marketing strategy' works.

Bill
