• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I have SP1a on a XP2 and SP2 on Vista32 and there is no difference between these versions when looking at Lake Hood with all sliders 3/4 to max'ed position.

The water color is a slightly deeper blue (mid 2.x) on the SP2 but that could be the difference in the 25" sony monitors + video cards that are running on each computer.

There are airports that have been enhanced in SP2 but Lake Hood is not one of them.

Both FSX versions are running in DX9 mode. You gain some scenery enhancement (bloom, airport lighting) in DX10 mode but lose other standard features such as AI Plane textures, default plane wing lighting, progressive taxi, to name a few and is not worth DX10 yet for me.

Hi tim

What makes me say what? :) I was just asking if the shots were from SP2 or not. I wasn't sure...

(I actually asked in light of the differences in runways between SP1 and SP2. (no built-in flatten anymore). I am still a bit interested how this affected the water runways, if at all)
 
Not having SP2, I thought perhaps you'd seen something in the pic that was an SP2 feature, and so was curious. But in light of Jim's response, seems you were asking too. :)
