• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Library Creator XML 2.0.2 released

I have released an updated version of Library Creator XML, version 2.0.2.

In this version the following changes have been made:
  • Add a context menu to copy the GUID of an object to the clipboard
  • Fixed a crash when compiling a library that was locked by FsX
  • Fixed a GUID reading problem, that caused problems with the API/SBuilder/Rwy12 export
  • Fixed a problem with the relative path options that sometimes caused missing MDL files (red text) on the first load of a XML file

You can download the new version from the Download center. Or if you have enabled the option to check for updates automatically in your current version, you should get a notification about the new version automatically the next time you start the tool.

Can't Download Library Creator XML

I have tried to link to the Download center to download Library Creator XML. All I get is this error:
The VBulletin administrator has disabled the Links and Downloads Manager. Unable to continue.

That link is no longer valid indeed. But not all downloads have been moved yet to the new download section. We will continue that tonight.

You can reach the new download section by pressing Downloads on the navigation bar at the top.
 
New Error message

Okay, tonight the file is in the download section. I attempted to download both Installer and Zip versions of the original file, before downloading the the newest version. This is the error I get. I haven't downloaded anything prior.

Slow Down! You are trying to download files too quickly. You must wait 7 seconds before you may download another file.

Do I need to install 1.0.3 first, then 2.0.2?

Hi Bob,

The zipfile and installer versions are ony for the old Library Creator XML 1.0.3. For version 2.0.2 there is only a zipfile version, be careful with that.

The error message seems to indicate you are trying to download two files very close to each other. As the message says just wait a bit. I can download here without trouble.
