• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi Arno,

Was just giving the new MDLT2 alpha a spin, and got this message when I run it.

'class does not support animation or does not support expected interface'

I click ok, and nothing else happens.

Hi Stevo,

I got that error at work as well. So I am going to debug it.

I had a look at this problem and I know where it comes from now. But unfortunately I can not solve it at the moment. This is because the EXE has been compiled with an older version of the DLL file.

As I am rebuilding the GUI at the moment (and forgot to save a complete version of the old GUI), I can not recompile the EXE to the current DLL version at the moment.

So I have restored the previous DLL version, but that will bring back the crash while loading the textures for some objects. Once the new interface is ready enough I wll release the new EXE and DLL again.

Sorry for the trouble :o

MDL Tweaker 2: Error -2147221504 and Error 53

Hi, Arno

1. I am getting an error -2147221504 (- sign is not mine) when I try to open any file that has been tweaked by MDL Tweaker 1 to rotate to the observer. (I didn't try the "rotate to wind" tweak.) This is not a real problem, but perhaps you would like to know.

2. I get an error 53 when the Preview button is clicked, telling me that mwgfxvb.dll wasn't found. This is my fault, as this file is indeed not in my system. Searching the net I found it, even though I don't trust the site entirely, so I haven't downloaded it yet. Perhaps you could give us a clue where to get it and where to place it in the system.

Thanks!

Fern

What is the rest of the text of the error message? The number itself does not really tell me much.

That means you will have to install the graphical DLL files of Martin Wright first. Google on his name and you will find his site (or search the forum, I posted the link somewhere, but with my current lack of proper internet connection I am too lazy to search for it :)).

Hi Arno,

I am getting the same error. Complete text -

Error -2147221504 (Loading texture file:"Failed!) in procedure timerPreview_Timer of User Control ucPreview

Any ideas where the problem may lie?

Regards,

Scot

Hi Scot,

See post number 3 of this thread. I have found the problem, but because I was rewriting the GUI at that moment I could not release the fix. At the moment the GUI is almost ready, but I need to finish some other things first. So hopefully I can release a new alpha within a few days. I have been rather busy lately, so therefore it has been delayed more then I would like.
