• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Don't know if there is any problem but I can get the drawcall work the tools keeps processing endlessly. or could be the user?
And now we are here, another question on the way, how do you get to work with psd or jpeg fles in MCX ?, still I can't figure this out

Sounds like you found a bug. Can you send me the object so I can try to figure out why it keeps processing?

About the textures. Modelconverterx just loads the file that is specified in the material. If that is a jpeg or psd they are also loaded.
 
I will send this via e-mail, more easy from Skydrive. the files is "HC412_GIE".
It's a helicopter I coverted with SAMM, it's a fliable aircraft I want to make static object.
About jpeg and psd files, MCX always ask for Dds files:confused:
How I can get an e-mail to send the zipped file, I have been struggling with Skydrive to get a direct acces to the file without anybody had to check all the photos, documents and files and no way,

About the textures. It depends on what is stored in the model you import. If this is a MDL object, then usually it will be asking for DDS files. If you want to load other formats, you would have to change the material settings so that it points to them.

But in most cases people use it the other way around, they import a model from SketchUp or so that references the PSD file. Then the textures needs to be converted to DDS to work in FS.

I think I fixed the bug now, it should be working in the next development release.
 
Working now, working hard these days Arno, some day I will make a manual for MCX in spanish but I not promise nothing, but deserve it thanks again.:D

Great, the looping drawcall minimizer has also been "bugging" me.
I'll check it again with the new dev version.

If your object does still loop, just send it to me for debugging.
