• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I have recently installed FSDS and I am having a few issues. 1:when I am about to compile a aircraft to FSX Steam Edition, there are no aircraft to choose from in the Flight Model Selection.

2:It says that it cannot detect ANY version of FSX (I run FSX SE) on my computer.

3:I don't know what compilers I need to actually compile an aircraft.

(am new to the whole FSDS thing, If you could, can somebody post a list for me of ALL the things I need to get FSDS up and running?) To be honest.... I don't know how to set it up at all! (please help)

Thanks

Did you have installed the right SDK (Software Development Kit) and write the usefull paths in the Preferences section? I dont know the path of Steam FSX version but according to other Steam programs installed on my computer the path is not the current one of a standard version of FSX. Check that.

My standard FSX : C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X
My Steam EuroTruckSimulator : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2

Yea, I know about that. I have the correct SDK, and the right paths. The only problem is, I don't know where to put the SDk folder.

I putted mine in the same directory than FSX (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games).
