hi everyone -
ok i am new at this so be gentle - -
I would like to repaint a FSX aircraft with my own paint scheme. example 747-400
I have PhotoShop with the nivida plug in to view the dds files. I can layer the paint scheme I want, but i can't get it right because of the matting of the art. so if i was to write INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS on the sid eof the plane, it would not show right becuase in the dds file the plane is broken into several different images merged into the dds file
So is there a way to model the dds file and paint it at the same time?
so in a nutshell, what would be the way i need to modify the white paint scheme for the default 747 in FSX?
I have access to 3dsMax8 (never really used it) i have the deluxe verison of FSX so I have the SDK and gmax
Any help or direction from someone who has done it before would be greatly appreciated.
I just want to start painting my own color scheme but using the same FSX aircraft models (i'd like to keep the effects and the VC's) - there is a way to do this right?
thanks guys!!!
