• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

PAPI heading issue.

I have been using AFLT for some time now and never had this problem before.. I create a PAPI Left light and set the Runway/user facing heading then create another for the opposite end of the runway and normally I can place them into FS9 or X and they will perform as the should. But I am in the process of converting on of my FSX sceneries to FS9 and came to adding the lights...
I created the PAPI lights as I would but for some reason their heading is all messed up.
It is fairly difficult to explain so please see the images below for demo.

The heading of this runway is 279 and the user face heading of the PAPI is AFLT is 279. the same happens with the opposite end at a heading of 99. I am really confuddled.

You haven't given me a lot to work with. Without your library folder, all I can do is guess.

My first guess is that you are using 1.1.03 and that you are attempting to use effects with FSX models. While 1.1.03 will permit this, as noted in a sticky in this forum, use of FSX models can be problematic. Try using the FS9 PAPI model instead.

If that doesn't work, please send my your Library Folder. You might also try the development release just released earlier this week.

Find attached the library, I am using the FS9 models (this sim is FS9)
The version is indeed v1.1.03 It is a new one for me, I honestly have never had this problem. It always works.

Please refer to the user manual to see what I mean by the "Library Folder". In any case, 1.1.03 had a problem (that may or may not be what you are experiencing) that was fixed in a development release months ago. Before either of us spend any more time on 1.1.03, please try the new Development Release 2.0.02.
