When I want to generata a PAPI-2 light I get the following error/compiler output

D:\Flightsimulator\Airfields Light Toolbox\BaseModels\FS9\PAPI-2.mdl" is not a FSX model

What am I doing wrong?

Regards,

Marcel

Marcel, without knowing what were your Make Library selections, I really can't comment. The file at that location is, in fact, a FS9 file. But why AFLT would "complain" is a mystery.

Please send me your library folder and a screenshot of your Make Library dialog just before the message is issued.

Don

This is what i get when hit make library. With library folder you mean my FSX library?

Marcel, let's back up a bit.

You initially stated you got an error/compiler message. I assumed you meant when you attempted to compile a library using AFLT's Make Library dialog. However, you don't have any models available, so I'm beginning to doubt that assumption.

When I refer to your Library Folder, I am referring to the Library Folder as described in the user manual.

If you believe you are getting an AFLT error, please be specific as to what you entered, where, and what buttons you clicked, in the sequence in which you performed those operations. And, I still need your Library Folder in order to duplicate your problem.

Don

Hi Don,

I installed AFLT as stated in the manual. I selected my scenery work folder as library, that was a option acoording the manual. When I fill in the fields like in the image below and hit the create/safe element button I get the error message.

Marcel

Now I understand the problem and can duplicate it. It will, however, be a day or so before I can fix it.

Further to my post of last evening, the message is issued in error - obviously - and can safely be ignored. But the element has been saved correctly and may be used normally.

But, don't bother trying to use the FSX model. It will not work.

I'll generate an update ASAP.

Don

Hi Don,

Thanks for the help, I will await the update then and until that time use the default PAPI lights wiht no housing.
