• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Question About Time Of The Day

Depends on the situation. Can you give a specific example?

You are saying "this value" is "between these two amounts". A good example is in my CAT tutorial where I show that an animation should happen for a specific gate type between two UserVar Amounts.

i say that there are maximun and minimun in the interface.so if i select Time Of The Day,so what the two things mean? they mean the object appears's start time and the end time?

You can, my MSN is in my profile.....

However, I may not be the best person for this as my coding skills are limited. If you wait, probably some other clever folk here will chime in.

I tend to work on design and animation :)

so ,what the difference between the two software ,which is better ,and ...

CAT is a tool to tweak animations. MDL Tweaker is a tool to tweak total MDL objects, so that is the big difference. With CAT you can let your animation run on a certain condition, for example a NAV2 freq being set. While with MDL Tweaker you can add a condition to the display of your total object, for example only display it between 8 hour and 22 hour.

If you use a "In between" condition in MDL Tweaker, you indeed need to enter two values between which the given variable must be for the object to show.
