• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

i have been building my aircraft diligently and with attention to detail...so far its taken 1 year,,,,some work left to do...but ive had to learn gmax 1.2...paintshop pro..panel studio...etc from total beginner...

my only scenery experiment, was to build the lovell telescope, for jodrell bank..and place it in the scenery...its not a great model, but much more accurate than the google earth one ...which is quite innacurate....

i recently downloaded the clifton suspension bridge from avsim...i think for fs9.
or maybe fs8......

it appears in the landscape, as do the textures.....but in the wrong position...

ime running fsx,acc....with the in fsx tools....and the tool for placing objects permanently into fsx from the fsx object placement tool...

also the vfr generation x photo scenery....

is there a way of moving this bridge into the correct position.??...

or should i build my own....there isnt much available for fsx....certainly a lot more for fs9...

i want the bridge,own use only...but i really need to finish my aircraft....jim
 
turns out its a 2002 bgl.....mod converter says unsupported bgl....

guess i will have to build my own.....jim
 
Hi,

Development release will probably open it. You can then export it as a FSX MDL file and position it at the right location with any object placement tool.

it is indeed nick ryalls clifton suspension bridge...it looks rather nice...and Arnos clever tool does open it....maybe when i finish my aircraft.i will have a try at scenery....clifton bridge with hardened surface, for my walking man...and night illumination...but back to my aircraft....and flying it under the bridge.....jim
