• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Can I make a mission that allows selecting an airframe? Also using FSXME how do I create a multiplayer mission with multiple airframes?

Hi Folks

lvflyer -
For switching aircraft -
please fly the default FSX mission Tutorial 4: Ground Operations.

The matching xml is included in the SDK mission samples.
Load it into FSXME to see how it works.

Once you've replicated that mechanism
you can adapt it for multiplayer use.

Thanks I see that mission changes planes automatically. I'm more interested in making a mission that the pilot has the choice of 2 airframes, B1 or B2 at the beggining of the mission or have the option in multiplayer for the instructor to be in a spotter airframe. This is for bomber training so we would like to be able for the spotter to verify the bombs hit the target when dropped. We already have the effects all we need to do is incorporate them in a mission. It's hard to find anyone willing to share what they know about Mission Editor. Is it that they are protecting intellectual rights or are there not that many actively digging into this? Thanks for you input.

Going in the direction BASys suggested, is there a way to start a mission walking to a choice of airframes or starting a mission in a golf cart or shuttle? If we could walk from the FBO or ready room to the airframe it would be great then you could have multiple airframes like in Tutorial #4 and even have a spotter plane for the instructor or even a helicopter.
