Hello everybody, I will first make a brief intro and then hover on to my big question. So, I woke up today and, as usual, went for a cup of coffee and headed over to the computers room, decided to "Sim Fly" on my recently acquired PMDG MD-11. All in all, after taking off and cruising I started to give FSX some thoughts and a different point of view arose for me. I work as a 3D modeler/shader (I use both Maya and/or 3DS Max) and I mess around with Photoshop a LOT, for post editing, so... I went on and asked a friend that loves Flight Simulator as much as I do, and asked him about 3DS Max and FSX... He told me that it can and IS actually used for making sceneries but that I would have to mess around with Gmax or something.
So here I am, is 3DS Max really suitable for making sceneries in FSX? How do I do that? Just simply model and shade my scenery and then what, how do I send it to FSX? How does all the process work?
Thanks in advance and congrats on the wonderful community!
