• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi guys,
All I get when a stock airport is opened are Parkings,Runways,Taxiways,Jetways, but no scenery buildings that show at MSFS2020 for example no building terminal are shown where the jetways are.
Is there any thing to do to get ADE Alpha to show stock buildings when a stock airport is started in order to edited it.
Jetways are always found at incorrect distance from the parking spot
Also the runway starts do show but when checking for errors using the Faultfinder they appear as missing
Appreciate some help to solve this issues

The generic airports are contained in APX files (such as apx24160.bgl) Object files would then be in obx24160. The objects are separate from the airports in the generic files. How to see the objects? You should use the 2-way function of ADE, and load the airport project into the Devmode of the sim. Then you can see the objects. Jon provided the 2-way edit for this type of eventuality. The airport is OK, but some elements aren't being decompiled. Devmode helps to finish the project from the base airport features.

Thanks for the reply my friend. I will give it a try.

Question: how do I load the airport project into the Developer mode of the sim?
Do you that after building the proyect and saving it to community? How
Appreciate your help once more

Guess this is done by using the SDK at the SIM? and there one can add or delete the proyect that has been edited with ADE ALPHA? am I correct?
If so I am in trouble cause have never used the SDK before

In Developer mode, load the project's xml file, which is made by ADE.

If this is a stock airport it's already in the sim. You should go to that airport so you can see your changes, and make your edits. This is a good introduction to the DevMode of MSFS (a bit dated): from Flying Theston
