• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

Taxiway edge light method/performance

Hi folks,

Think ahead to the next stage of the project, I'm going to be adding runway and taxiway edge lights.

Would anyone know whether theres a potential performance benefit to using an airport design programs 'line of objects' tool over designing these one at a time from FSDS?

There will be quite a few to do, but individual placement will enable me to be more accurate, so I'd rather do it that way - unless the performance hit is likely to be an issue.

(I have FSDS 2 installed, so should be able to do this the old-fashioned way - using nav lights).

Ceejay- At Avsim I uploaded my library of rwy/txi lights which are radio activated. Half the set are ADF , the othe half are nav 2. I don't know if this is along the lines of what you are discussing, but get my library and try it. Avism- autor Robert Lacy.

The only thing right now is I'm trying to figure out how to increase the brightness.

If you'd like I can send my FSDS file on these lights. Maybe you might be able to figure out how to increase the brightness. Bob
