• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

Terrain Mesh in MSFS

Hi all,

I'm waiting for mesh compilation features to improve some regions, but I did not see anything yet in the SDK... but I had a look to simmarket and there are some terrain mesh products for MSFS ? how is it possible ? there are no mesh package in the editor, no way to compile terrain data, ands I've been told the projection is not a basic WGS84 referential... so I'm curious how these mesh products can exist ? a fake ?

thank you for your great forum :)

From the description it seems like he is directly replacing core files? I'm not saying he "is" but really, thats the only way i could imagine doing it without having the ability to do it in the sdk.

You mean he has replaced core files with BGL files not compiled with the MSFS SDK ? Anyway, the guy is known for poor content that's the reason I was suspecting such an issue...

yes, thats what I mean. I'm not sure its possible, but as far as I know there is no way to do it in the SDK either, so unless there is a third way that i'm unaware of... neither really make sense. If there IS a way, I would really really like to know, i'm very much waiting on this feature myself lol.
