• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Version 1.5 - Open Beta

Version 1.5 of AI Flight Planner is an extensively re-designed Version 1.4 that offers substantially-improved performance and additional features. The new version has been in beta testing for several weeks and now appears to be essentially bug-free.

However, given that AI Flight Planner comprises more than 10,000 lines of code and that I've recently "touched" over half of them, I'm concerned there's still a few bugs lurking on "the fringes". So, before making a general release, I want the current version to receive greater exposure. To that end, I'd ask any of you who have time to download Version 1.5 OpenBeta 1, exercise it in your normal AI flight planning activities and explore other features that interest you. The included file NOTES TO BETA TESTERS.pdf provides a fuller description of the changes and directions for reporting any problems you discover. Version 1.5 includes an extensively revised user manual as well.

Failing discovery of any serious problems, I anticipate general release of Version 1.5 by mid-September.

I've downloaded the beta and will try the Ultimate Traffic conversion again this weekend and report back.
 
Due to the dearth of problem reports from the open beta, I've decided to terminate the beta and release 1.5 generally this week. So, if anyone has anything to report, please do so ASAP.

Odaat, you'll be pleased to know that, when 1.5 is released, it will include a menu item to supress non-critical warning messages (the kind that didn't stop compiling anyway).
