• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I didnt know you were in Auckland!

Flying the NZ scenery is pretty nice. Great looking part of the world down there.

How did you guys negotiate time? I see you all live in tomorrow.

Hi Bill,

yep I live in Auckland at the moment and at least for the next two years. New Zealand is great! I fell in love with the landscape and the people here.

What do you mean by that:
How did you guys negotiate time? I see you all live in tomorrow.
This sounds Billish to me

Quite different to desert and cacti isn't it? :D

My goodness man! That is some beautiful countrysides!

By meaning of time, you guys are into 'tomorrow'. I am -7 zulu, and your time is about 4 or 5 hours behind us, but tomorrows date. For instance, here its Monday, so its Tuesday already over there. Its a Star Trek, quantum physics thing, lol....

I would post some pics of Phoenix, but you've seen beige before... especially if you have FSX.. heh. ;)

Bill

Now I get it. Yep it's true - I am always one day in the future :rotfl:
It gets worse: my sisters are still in Germany and my parents live in South America. Imagine a normal beginning of our telephone conferences:
"Good evening!" - "Good day!" - "Good morning!"

Although I'm fed up with beige in FSX I'd love to see pictures of your desert! :)

Ok Vitus,

Here are some pics of Phoenix and Sedona. Some other places of interest are Flagstaff and Jerome (my faves) as well as Tuscon, but I think these will do for now.

Note the closeup of the small cactii, how the ground is. Its either pure, smooth dust, or rocks... Lots of rocks... Rocks everywhere!!! Rocks, dust and cactii, lol...

Phoenix spans from horizon to horizon now. This is a view from one of the many mini mountains 'in' Phoenix. The outer towns used to be in the countryside, but have since all grown together into one giant super city.

Squaw Peak Mountain. A great hike. Located near the center of Phoenix, slightly North and East of Sky Harbour International. A giant mountain and the view is phenomenal from the top.

Grand Canyon. Leaves you speachless to see it. You can stare at it for hours. With binoculars, looking down into the valleys from certain side views, you can see people and trails and things down in there, eagls soaring, mountain lions climbing around the walls, etc.

Sedona, known for its red rock, sort of a limestone derived from once being sand. Many UFO's are spotted in this area and its said we have a secret USAF installation in one of the valleys in this area. Strange stuff, strange people. No wonder McCain lives here, lol.... oops, sorry.

We are known for our sunsets. They are usually a reddish color. Our flag has the sunset in it as well as a copper star in the center.. We are probably the worlds largest supplier of copper ore.

Cactus... Note the rocks. If you are in the desert, you will either be in powdery dust (beige in color like FSX) or in rocks. Tons of rocks. Odd sorts of rock as well, not like normal rock, but jagged and sort of like granite, volcanic, like Hawaii.

More red clouds. This happens once in a while, like around monsoon season, with lots of dust storms in the evening chased by giant storm clouds, making some wild orange sunsets...

Now I want to move to NZ, thanks guys...

Do you mean New Zealand or Arizona? :D

Hey Bill that looks fantastic! What a stunning landscape that shows how beautiful desert and cacti can be

I understand the Inuit have hundreds of words for snow - do you have hundreds of words for rocks?

New Zealand for sure. I'm going to get some flight time here in the US, then probably move to Australia and get their version of an ATP.
