• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

W7 problem

I reinstall in my PC W7. Also reinstall FSX. and now I have a limit on the files I can install in Addon Scenery folder. Exceeding the limit, FSX starts and is starting forever. It's like something that tells FSX Addon Scenery is that many files.
 
It's very weird thing, I don't think it be a problem with windows7, many people here and myshelf have w7 and fsx, and I don't have any problem, could be a scenery in particular, or the installation itshelf, Try to install the scenery addons in groups of five for exemple and watch when fsx begin to malfunction. for exemple. but could be that no have to do with addon scenery at all, good luck.
 
Thanks for your reply. There is not particular scenery, but there is a maximum number of files supported in FSX addon. W7 before reinstalling I had no problem with FSX. I don´t know what has been modified in this new instalation. I think somewhere there should be an instruction in FSX or W7 to order how many files can be installed in addon scenery folder.

I don't see why, in one of my scenery areas I have 119679 files and it works fine on XP and W7.

Or do you mean it just takes a long time to start up?

If that's a problem, you can make a secondary addon scenery folder and add it to the scenery library....
That SHOULD work, but if it doesn't...well...:rolleyes:

The game never starts. Just make the first steps of starting and stays there. I do not know how to do a secondary addon scenery folder and how it is communicated to FSX.
