• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi, guys,
I did models in blender and I try to export corretly to msfs2024, but the object is always white in the sim.
I saw in co-pilot AI that can be a problem of inversion of channel Y. I allready did a process like this in shadding blender, but it is very long and annoying, i ´dd like to know if exist a free software more easy to do this?
I´ll appologise too much a sugestion.
Thanks,

You can invert the green channel directly in blender in the UV editor image menu.

But if you have a model completely white, I suspect you have not enabled texture exporting in the MSFS Blender exporter.

The easiest way to resolve this would be to include the texture set (and perhaps a .blend) in a zip file and attach it or give us a cloud link. Otherwise it's a guessing game wasting your time.

Hi, VPilot, I tried the compilation with several alterations in Blender config export to msfs2024. This modifications are show in the prints here attached, (03 prints).
See this prints and evaluate the details and possible fix.
Now the object are with a brown collor diferente of the white previous.
Thanks and advance for the help.

I just changed the COMP_Creater to a more robust version that allows you to use a non-texture Black, White, or Grey as a channel. Same link.

By the way, i downloaded the link of Dick, 2 days before. Is this upadated from your suggestion?
Help with creating COMP textures and flipping the Y channel of Normals textures https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/pbr-materials-for-msfs2020.460502/post-937540
Hy Dick I have a doutbt in this comp app. First, my problem is with normal image, and how to load this normal in this software ? The software is made to comp generate, or normal too.? In case of to load a any image to do comp texture which kind of texture i ´ll enter? And same question to do a normal texture , which entry texture I must to load? Sorry my doubt? Best

I would reload the COMP_creator.zip too make sure you have the latest. As for the normal you need to use DirectX_Normal_Converter.zip from the same forum link. It simply flips the y channel.

Hi, Dick, I have worked hard to rebuild my scenery of 2024. The comp a normal were good and help me a lot. But when a try to export, the AI say that i have to configurate the diagram of node, and separate chanel, rgb, and then the thing is complicated. In MSFS2020 i didn´t anything this diagrama and the thing goes right, i had only to appoint the textures in msfs parametres ???. What to do tomorow, because today it was full with moderate quality result and I stope here. See a blender screen wiht the questions here. I hope by your advise. Thanks.

If you zip the ,blend file with your textures, and the original textures you downloaded to a cloud link, then someone could look at the problem. It does appear the COMP file isn't right. And I'm not sure about the normal texture. Where you downloaded the originals, they should let you know if the normal texture is DirectX or not... if they don't, then it probably isn't DirectX type.

I'm sorry, but I can't help without the original textures. Your COMP texture appears to be wrong. Without the original set of textures, it can't be fixed.

I'm closing this thread as there is no relation to inverting y channels as a problem. Please repost if needed as an appropriate title and in the right forum.
Apparently Polyhaven was the source of the textures questioned here.

AO/Rough/Metal is the same as COMP. You can select a Normal that is DX compliant. The Diffuse is your color. No need to manipulate or change anything concerning this texture, just download the correct textures.
