• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am a drummer. Have been playing since I was 3 years old when I got my first drum set. Been playing in bands since I was 6. Jazz bands, rock, country, Christian, classic rock....then in school I played marching, pep, concert bands. I played for 2 years with the Boston Crusaders (Drum Corp) when I was in college. I play all percussion instruments including, conga's and hand drums. I am on several CD's as percussionist playing hand drums, conga's, tambourine, shakers, etc...

On a side, I also play piano, guitar, violin, cello, TINY bit of trumpet and sax.

Yes, I LOVE music!!!!!!! I also play by ear. I hear it, I play it. I am NOT very fast at reading music, but I can read it..... very very very slowly!!! LOL

uuuuuuuh! Even more musicians! Very nice.

How can you recognize a really good drummer?
He can play quietly.

What is the name of these grumpy persons who are not musicians, are always traveling with the band and carrying all the heavy stuff?
drummer. obviously.

:D

Vitus, that was mean.
But really, drummers do serve a useful purpose. When they drool out of both sides of their mouth, you know the stage is level.

Playing quietly is very very very much the tell of a really good drummer. Most drummers just pound the crap out of the heads. A true drummer plays with finness, control, and dynamics.

Hell yeah we are grumpy!!! While others have 1 or 2 items to carry in, we have an entire set, cymbals, stands. And as I proved last week...Guitar players, keyboard players...amazing musicians...turn green when you show them sheet music for drums. :)

LMAO!!!!!!!! Truer words were never spoken!!! LOL!!!!!

Bob, that's a good one!

Greg, tell me about it: my e-piano weights 70kg (~150 pounds)...

What's the biggest lie told to a drummer?
Hang on, I'll help you with your gear!

How do you call a drummer with half a brain?
overqualified

I like the drummer that played with Eumir Deodato - clickclick - he personifies the spirit of playing the drums. :D

hahaha Funny, that when we play out, I end up helping carry the keyboard. It is HUGE. But they do NOT help me. Hmmm...

What did the keyboard player say when the bass player asked him how to spell "Mississippi?"
"The river or the state?"

What do you call a beautiful woman on a keyboard player's arm?
A tattoo.

I love those sites!!! LOL At least we know that the world would be a much sadder place and a much more boring place without US!!!!!!! :)

That is because the threshold between a drummer and a roadie is marginal. :D

What was the last thing the sacked drummer said to the band?
Hey guys, let's try one of my songs!

Why does the drummer always loose his watch?
We all know that he has trouble keeping time.

I really hate it when the drummer speeds up. And that happens always!

Are we getting a bit off topic here? :D

Isn't this the musicians forum??? ;)

If an agent and a keyboard player are standing in the road, which one should you run over first?
The agent - business before pleasure!

Ok.... I'm done. :)

Yes, I wonder too :). Seems they expect I have magical anti-poll powers.

I agree that it is usually better to close polls after a few months. I'll close this one later. I am now sitting in the train, so my admin powers are limited at the moment.

Hi,

I was not yelling. I was screaming:).
And no, I do not specifically want the poll closed.
It is just, in case you have not noticed, that, although there are no new entries, it looks as if there are new ones because at the right the date of the latest entry is always changed to "today".

I think that happens when someone casts a new vote in the poll, but doesn't actually leave a new comment.

I am leaving my comment. I am developing for FS9 only. Many of us do not have hardware good enough to run FSX with the same performance (ie, good frames) as them do on FS9. I'm one of them.

My last job in which I participated is shown in http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20645

My specs: Intel C2D 3.0 Ghz / Nvidia GTS250 / 4 GB DDR2-800 / HD 250 GB SATA2-300.

I still find this very interesting. For example I voted "FSX only" more than 2 years ago - now I'm back developing addons for FSX and FS9 - who would've thought? :)

Let's keep this one open - or let's put up a vote if the poll should be closed. :p

Maybe we should have another poll?: Is there anybody who responded in the affirmative many moons ago when the poll was first started that has since given up developing?
