• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Problem with Scenery Built ADE dissapearing in FSX after loading FTX AUGOLD

Can anyone suggest an answer to this problem.

I am running FSX SP2 and had several airports built with the previous version of ADE and they were displaying well.
I since purchased and installed FTX AUGOLD from OrbX and it was great, and then I installed ADE9X and tried to build a new local airport, and in testing found that the above ground scenes like hangars, socks etc. were missing.

I then rechecked the other airports built earlier and except for a 5mt chain wire fence, they had also lost their above ground scenery.

Any ideas? I am ready to try anything, including a complete reinstall if necessary, but I cannot reason that that would help,

It may be worth asking on the FTX forum.

A couple of things spring to mind ....

The FTX Central tool has an insertion point function, which enables you to keep your scenerly library entries above the ORBX ones.

I suspect your addon scenery is at a level lower than the ORBX entries.

This might be a stupid question...but do you have your scenery sliders set to maximum?

Most people do that mistake ;)

I must be getting stupid in my old age.

I didn't read the instruction book - Did I!

It turned out to be my graphics settings in FSX

When I read the FTX instructions and set my FSX to their recommendations, it all came good.
