• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Resample tool not working

It appears using LZW compression might let you get away with an image that size but the resampling time will literally triple. I really hate doing that because it might take half an hour or more to resample, 1 1/2 hrs if you have 3 sources. I might resample my imagery 10 times a day when I'm busy bedding objects into it but you can use a cut-down .inf with just one source while you're working on it and add the other two sources for the final resample when you're done. Try that anyway and see what happens.

I want to start the resample, doesnt matter how much time its going to take, but I really dont know how to fix that..Im really confused, if you want we can continue to PM to find solution, then im going to say the solution here.

Try the LZW compression, just re-export your .tifs from your main .psd or .psb with LZW checked. Then try to resample your .inf again.

Starts compiling now but this warnings appears, is this normal?

Im taking a bed now, its 6am at me and havent slept yet haha.Definetely going to run it tommorow, hope its going to work with this warnings, ill keep you up, thank you to the moon!

Let it run while you sleep. I think the warnings will be OK as long as Cell 28 of 36537 keeps advancing. When you wake up you'll have a .bgl you can put in the sim. See you in the morning. :)

Actually, my PC is really full, every disk and it works really weird, so Im scared to leave him on during the night..Haha, good morning btw.Let's get to work :)

I have exported the BGL file, in TMF viewer it works very well, the seasons are defined and the textures are good, but in FS the Photoreal is the same texture even in hard winter, it's the summer texture, really don't know why..

Don't worry, Im the same all the time...Going to look forward to fix the sharp edges of the photoreal.I think I need blend map there for the transition between default and my photoreal.

Magnetic lasso tool works good for that:

-Hold down space bar to pan around on image
-Ctrl + to zoom in, Ctrl - to zoom out
-Press backspace key to delete points (undo something messed up)
-use feather 1, 2, or 3px for blend masks
-use feather 0 px for water masks

Yep, and then you'll need to put Channel_BlendMask = 5.0 back into each one of your existing sources. Something like this (I added a water mask too)

Code:

This appears, is this normal to have that amount of cells??

EDIT: I used @JRobinson's source.

I just copied your .inf from the first post so ulxMap, ulyMap, xDim, and yDim are whatever you had posted there. If you dummied that up to disguise the airport you're working on then the coords wouldn't be correct, it may be trying to stretch your PR across half the globe if the coords were not correct. Check my .inf against the one you were previously using, make sure these values match up with what "the company" issued you, it doesn't appear they do since your airport is nowhere near the coords you posted:

ulxMap = 25.5140000000
ulyMap = 35.0360000000
xDim = 0.000006041995097961624
yDim = 0.00000449157642059756

They need to corrected in each [Source] BTW.

God bless you! Nothing to say else.
Also I forgot to place the lines for the blend mask on the first source so i have to wait 4 more hours but okay, happy to work.

Channel_BlendMask = the amount of images you have in your source inf file. In your current file you have 4 so Channel_BlendMask = 4
The line NullValue = ,,,,0 just use NullValue = and nothing after it
For TIFF files Photoshop "every version I ever had" won't export properly I use a program afterward to convert them. Download IrfanView free, open tiff and just save and close that will fix that issue.
You can also use a 32 bit BMP instead of a TIFF file, if bmp, Use light blue for the blend and bright red for water, the rest white, when you use a bmp file instead of tiff, SamplingMethod = Point
Also make sure your use the P3D resample and not the FSX resample yes they are different in many many ways.
LOD is always auto unless you specify a value, so if auto just take that line out.
DestBaseFileName = No extension needed it will make it.
SBX is limited to 2 gigabytes maximum image size

Cheers,
Had to edit my reply a few times should be complete now, hope this isn't to late.
