• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    Time to Retire

Thanks for what you have done. It meant a lot to me. I hope things are going well in your private life.

    Inactive AD20 files

Airline codes assigned to parking spots does work. At least I can confirm that FS Traffic works.

Small Airport AI Taxi and Take-off

Yeah, that's something I'm working with. I wanted to avoid requiring landing aircraft to taxi to the runway end, but it appears that MSFS AI lands planes at the runway center, so going to the end is expected on a short runway anyway. It works pretty well if the taxiway is midway on the runway...

Small Airport AI Taxi and Take-off

This is about small airports with one runway and one taxiway connection at around it's mid-point. If anyone has found a way to get AI traffic to taxi on the runway to it's end before take-off, I would like to know. I have tried every configuration of taxiway paths that I can think of, but AI...

MSFS20 Prevent crossing runway from being used as exit.

The crossing runway paths can be eliminated per the following. I don't think ADE can address the other questions.

    MSFS20 Error Code

I never installed SDK 17 but did update from SDK 16 to SDK 18 (current version), and I have not experienced any build problems.

    MSFS20 Error Code

I randomly get an error code after closing the build window in place of the package built notice. As far as I know, mine is Error Code:-107374510 and I have been ignoring it for many ADE alpha versions since the package seems to save okay. It doesn't seem to be associated with the project...

    MSFS20 Can´t add custom objects.

It doesn't work the same as previous versions of ADE. Using the latest alpha version, select the tools pull-down menu and select User Model Manager. Then select Get Models and wait for the compiler to build a list.

MSFS20 Issue With Jetways After Building Package V20.21.8008

Right-click on the jetway link in ADE (must have use property grid for edits checked in options), select edit and then select connector type. Then select a link size that works with your jetway. ADE doesn't always select the correct length link. Also, you might try placing the building end of...

MSFS20 Orphan and Open links etc

It amazes me that the ADE programming is so good that it can detect an opening between links that we cannot see and warn us. Again, I am telling you that you can verify the opening by placing your mouse cursor over the node. If all the links that seem to be joined by the node turn white, then...

MSFS20 Orphan and Open links etc

Your screenshots do not prove that the links are attached at that node. If you place your cursor on the node and all the links are highlighted, then yes they are connected.

MSFS20 An Observation about Package Builds

I recently deleted some user objects and associated textures from some of my airport projects. After rebuilding the packages, I noticed that new files are written over the old ones so no texture files are deleted. Therefore, it is prudent to delete the old package from the package folder...

    MSFS20 Fuel Parking Objects

Thanks. That made me look further, and I see the latest ADE version includes a "Has3DMesh" attribute for the parking space that indeed controls the appearance of the objects. Since this attribute is listed for all parking spaces, I assumed it had nothing to do with the 3D objects at fuel...
