    Well kinda rpmc. The DDI button arms a weapon. If I can get it working in a 2D gauge, I can use it on other aircraft .... if that makes sense. I just want a clickspot on a 2D panel to simulate the default DDI button. Not sure its possible .....

    No joy The mouse will change to the hand when hovering over the spot, but when clicked it does nothing. The DDI button on the 3D VC screen operates fine. I'm just looking to duplicate it in a 2D popup panel I'm trying to make for a weapons selector for Tacpack. It has me stumped ......

    Can someone help to clarify. It would be very much appreciated. If I import an MDL. and it asks me in the variable box to enter a value for BGL_ZULU_HOUR, does that mean the hour that the imported model would be visible and displayed in FSX? Many thanks in advance Gary

    Thanks Arno I think I'm doing it right and I follow the SDK method using Imagetool for the final conversion. I end up with regular normal maps that I add through the usual way. I'm Windows 7 64 bit .... I wonder if thats got anything to do with it, but it certainly is a curios phenomenon...

    Why does normal mapping increase the MDL size so dramatically? When I compile my model normally without normal maps (T_Bump maps) the finished MDL is about 2mb. BUT ... if I add normal mapping, the T_Bump maps, the finished MDL is almost 15mb !!! There's no increase in frame rates and...

    Please diregard the last. I figured it out and for others to understand: Set importer settings to user specified. Then when the dialog box comes up set the gen_model setting as Arno advised above. Voila !!!! VC model displayed. What an incredible tool. Thanks Arno Gary
