• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    MSFS20 Need ideas/brainstorming - reasonable ICAO-Codes for airports without ICAO-Code

Yeah, removing the airport using an exclusion rectangle polygon with excluding attributes did not work. Any ideas?

    MSFS20 Need ideas/brainstorming - reasonable ICAO-Codes for airports without ICAO-Code

Hey, cool stuff! FZ001 it is, then! Does anyone have experience excluding a whole airport in FS2020 as stock airport data cannot be modified? Else I'll just give it a try once I get home.

    MSFS20 Need ideas/brainstorming - reasonable ICAO-Codes for airports without ICAO-Code

Oh man, I guessed that already. Had a quick look at Angola, and yeah, the same mess. Can't believe that. Even the FSX guys did a better job there. Is there a way to modify the stock FS2020 database? Probably not. So it seems like I am stuck with deleting whole airfields and then re-adding them...

    MSFS20 Need ideas/brainstorming - reasonable ICAO-Codes for airports without ICAO-Code

Hello community! Yep, FS2020 is out and I successfully found my way back here... :) In my FS time and the time I spend playing around and creating stuff for the FS, I am mainly busy in Africa, the South-Western/Central part in particular. Not an area that gets much attention... ...as you can...

    Strange AI-Traffic behaviour

I'm writing my flightplans by hand. I always use the @ symbol. I use AIFP2 to compile my Flightplans. But to check for errors, I now used AIFPC to decompile the files I compiled with AIFP2 and discovered that AIFP2 removes the @. I then compiled my hand-written files with AIFPC - which saves...

    Strange AI-Traffic behaviour

Okay, I was a little too fast by posting this. I just re-compiled all my Flightplans with another software, AIFPC. This one seems to include the "@" symbol. Well, at least my flights are taking-off, landing and even spawning normally. Also the CRJ doesn't randomly appear at Kinshasa. What I...

    Strange AI-Traffic behaviour

Hello Community! After a long break, I once again started to play with the FSX a little. As I am not so much into flying myself anymore, I decided to create some nice airports and AI-Traffic. I am still working on my little "Congo Project" since I am studying development politics with a focus...

    www.ptsim.com Down

I wonder why nobody mentioned that yet, but maybe I am missing something: Is there any way to create Google Earth/Bing background images (.jpg) for ADE in a way which is as fast and as efficient as it was with the "Exploring Google Maps" tool offered at the ptsim site? I specifically used this...

FSXA Problem with stock data (?) or/and moving an airport

If you leave the ARP at the stock position, the main problem is, that the airports location on the GPS and the FSX map is wrong. And yes, I converted the stock APX[number].bgl to xml, removed the airport and compiled it again - Why is that a bad thing to do? I backed up the original one of course..

FSXA Problem with stock data (?) or/and moving an airport

Okay, I got it solved. Rather radical ;) I just completely removed the stock data from the FSX. Here I go.. Boshwe is called Boshwe, the runway completely appears (so this was no altitude issue) and FZBK is correctly shown on the FSX map! The only thing.. Using the scenery tag "Medium city...

FSXA Problem with stock data (?) or/and moving an airport

Hej, Was an interesting idea to move the ARP back to its default position. The good thing: Selecting FZBK in the FSX menu makes the aircraft spawn at the new location. The bad thing: 1. When I select FZBK, and go back to the FSX main Menu, it says "Oshwe" instead of "Boshwe" (?!). Oshwe is...

FSXA Problem with stock data (?) or/and moving an airport

Airport Reference Point - thank you very much - finally the word for it. Yes, correct: I moved the airport reference point and the other objects to the new location. Now, I have two "FZBK" Airport in my FSX. The old one, which consists of the runway (the Airport Background has been excluded by...

FSXA Problem with stock data (?) or/and moving an airport

Good Morning, thanks for the replies! First, after having dealt with the Congo for quite some time I am 100% sure that the dirt strip you can see is, or at least used to be an airstrip :) So.. How I moved the airport. Well, thats easily said. I have the coordinates I posted above and replaced...
