• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    FSX Cab File Question

You don't actually "need" to recreate a cab file. Create a directory with the same name and put all your files into that. It works perfectly and load times etc are not affected.

    FS2004 AutoPilot Bank Limiter

In FS9 it's much simpler than you imagine. Go to the aircraft.cfg file and look-up [autopilot]. In there you should see max_bank=20.000000 Then in the autopilot gauge you can adjust that value if needed. For example the VC10 autopilot has a manual turn knob that allows the pilot to turn the a/c...

FS2004 GPS VOR frequency to tuned radio?

It's based on airfield elevation because when you set QFE your altimeter should read zero elevation when you land. QFE is used much more outside FAA jurisdiction.

FS2004 GPS VOR frequency to tuned radio?

It's actually a very simple calculation. First you need to know how many feet there are in a millibar. The "average" is around 30 feet. However that is not accurate enough. And, you need to know what value the sim uses. In all cases fs9, fsx and P3D the value is 29.54545. So all it is, is...

    Win10 upgrade nightmare

The moral in this story is "Why didn't you buy android? Although Google this, Google that is pressed on you and they assume youcan't do without it, one can totally avoid having to use Google in any shape or form. Oh and to live a relatively free life don't put it all onto your mobile!! I don't...

    Win10 upgrade nightmare

So instead of microsoft controlling you have decided that Apple will control you instead. Make sure they don't degrade you iphone forcing you to buy their next product! And make sure all the information on your phone is fake news to ensure they don't find out the truth about you.

FS2004 GPS VOR frequency to tuned radio?

I use Ed's NAVINFO gauge as well. It's amazing stuff. Being able to determine which airport one is at or a destination allowed me to create codeshare safety messages in different languages automatically triggered by Ed's gauge! Oh, and I almost forgot with his gauge I can find the destination...

    Unusual Switch!

Actually these types of switches are not that uncommon. Here are two spill valve switches on the Vickers VC10. They form part of the pressurisation system. They also operate the spill valve eyes to the the right. The verticle line rotates to the horizontal when the spill valves are closed and...
