• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    FSXA what is this ?

Most likely these are markers for different kinds of subterranean installations such as cable duct, hydrants etc. You will probably get the best answer from the local operations manager.

Now you can build 3d models inside FSX!

It would be great if you could test the tool and let us know the result. I was just wondering which tool to choose when adding 3D design to my activities. SketchUp 8 or Gmax until I stumbled over Frits' post.

Now you can build 3d models inside FSX!

Ios Hi Chris, Do you or does anybody else know already if this tool creates drawcall optimized objects? Or will we encounter fps issues after putting lets say 3 IOS-objects in one airport? How about your wheel chocks - do they work :) Thanks for letting us know, Frits!

    FSX Tiny Objects

Go to 'Lists' > 'Scenery Objects', click on the corresponding line within that list. Close the list, ADE will precisely center the object on your screen and will show it 'selected'. I gues you will be able to delete it then.

FSX how to convert below number to DDM format?

Exactly - I opend GE and just went to the position as mentioned above. If you are familiar with the structure of a VOR you will immediately recognize it. It is positioned precisely in the centerline of RWY04/22. Are you going to publish the result of your work?

FSX how to convert below number to DDM format?

Most likely it is the terminal VOR/(DME) of the Chinese airport Jieyang Chaoshan Intl (ZGOW).

Good luck to you! Sometimes life can be frustrating. But your project looks too good not to call it up again after a hopefully short depression. Stay tuned!

    Change altitude of the airportground

237 ft indeed look pretty realistic! Start the flight sim in GE - it indicates 220 almost along the entire RWY.

    Change altitude of the airportground

Do you have reliable airport data? 'ca. 100 meters' doesn' t sound too precise to me ...

Seattle is spectacular - also in FSX (love the view onto impressive Mount Rainier)! Thanks Dick!

    AI Spotter View

The default TWR-view is locked to your aircraft - the user aircraft. When you go into TWR-view you will always look at your aircraft. As soon as you move your aircraft the TWR-view will follow (track) your aircraft. There is a way to unlock this view. That means whenever you sit down in the...

    FSXA Airport area elevation

Timmo might be right. As far as I know SBuilderX is working with meters. If you set altitude units in ADEX to feet you will get two different levels.

    Red Closed Link Question?

Hi blehman, some essentials regarding Cosed Links: - You can create 'visual' links without getting a report in the Fault Finder Do the same with a Taxi Link and you will see a report in Fault Finder 'Orphan Link'. - You can easily create - as I call them - 'dead exits'. The...
