• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

How to fix my windsock animation?

Hi, I can't seem to get my windsock animation working. I have the feeling there's something wrong with how I hooked up the animations (tracks? strips?). I'm not enough familiar with animations in Blender to be able to move the strips to the right position. Feels like Blender 3.6 isn't finished...

Spikes when generating custom elevation BGL from QGIS

Hi Gary and Arno, thanks for looking into this! Your experience built up over the years really shows! I'll have to read up on the flattens (and pretty much everything else!) so that'll be something for the next few weekends (busy work weeks ahead). Arno's WCS screenshot looks pretty good! I've...

FSX Flickering and disappearing XML gauges

Windowed mode nor the visibility tags are to blame. I'll check the MaskImage but to my memory I haven't used them, perhaps an ambitious MouseArea?

FSX Flickering and disappearing XML gauges

Thanks all for your replies! - DirectX 10 Preview Mode was already switched off - Not tried full screen versus windowed mode. My other gauges work in full screen so I don't see why these won't work in full screen. But I'll try it in a few minutes. - Converted the trim gauge to 24-bit to no...

FSX Flickering and disappearing XML gauges

Hi, I found an old install of FSX laying around a few months ago and last month I started building my first XML gauges for an ATR 42 panel. I found this to be pretty straightforward (except for the RPN but I got the hang of it now). Until I started building the trim gauge. Then suddenly my...
