• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

3DS Max Unknown Lines

Helouu Guys..I dont know, maybe this is the incorrect bord to post this problem but i will post it here..

On this image you can see the 2 red lines (selected) and it is unknown lines for me).When i press the Delete button on my keyboard my ground poly totally disappear, against, when i press the Remove button in the right middle menu on 3DS Max the line is still here, i tryed with another lines before and it was deleted on the first attempt, i tryed approximetly 100 clicks on Remove but didnt work as well, any solution for this problem ?

And this one is totally different question from the first one.I have the Vertex here for this grass place.But against, look at the second one poly like this

it is with something like a hole in the middle you can see, the first one is totally filled, the second one isn't, any solution for this one else? Thank you so much, really appreciate :)
 
Don't worry, those lines are just connecting the hole to the rest of the mesh. You will have those in various places no matter what. If you want to move them, I suggest using the cut tool to create a new edge that spans across the taxiway between the edge of taxiway or other holes in the pavement rather than across large portions of the ground poly (can help avoid shading errors or other weird mesh problems later on. Also can help reduce overall poly count in some cases), then you can remove the other line using the "remove" button or the backspace key on your keyboard (don't use the delete key, this physically deletes the edge/face, whereas the remove function retains the surrounding mesh but hides the unwanted edge). Also, if one of the holes disappears, you can often get it back by adding a new supporting edge between the hole and another open part of the surface. The reason holes sometimes disappear is because 3DS Max needs some information to tell it that that area of the mesh is supposed to be open. Removing all the edges surrounding a hole gets rid of this attribute, and what results is the hole gets filled, even though the vertices may still exist.
 
Thank you for explain this to me, but i didnt understand how can i make the hole again in the poly on my parking on 3ds max? Thank you
 
Fixed, i readed carefully @UnitedExpress4180 so i just selected border then selected the edges of the existing hole and press CUT and i moved the mouse through the polygon and press the left click and it works, thank you so much :)
