Adding autoplatform to MDL

For testing the Autoplatform function I created a simple Helipad model with textures in SketchUp.

After importing the DAE to MCX, I exported the model as FSX MDL and converted the textures to DDS.

When I now import this MDL, as shown in the attached jpg, and try to use the autoplatform function in the Attached object editor, the menu-item is grey and not available.

Do I need to further change this MDL is some way to be able to use the Autoplatform function?

Thanks
Michael

Hi,

When the object loads, the attached object editor should always be available. So this sounds a bit weird. Let me check what might go wrong.

Hi Arno,

Let clarify a bit.

I have loaded the MDL and I have access to the Object editor.
But when I press the Add button, Autoplatform is not enabled.

Thanks
Michael

Hi Michael,

Which version are you using? Version 1.2 does not have all new functionality.

Hi Arno

I am using latest version, which should be 1.2.

Should I install an earlier version for the Autoplatform?
I have also seen that the version in the video tutorial is different for this one.

Thanks
Michael

The latest version is 1.3 (development release). That one has the auto platform function.

Hi Arno

Sorry, my mistake.

Downloaded developer version and now everything seems correct :)

Thanks
Michael
