• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Adding new view with panel

Hi there,

I wish to create a "bombardier" view from the nose of an aircraft. I have successfully added a new camera view pointing down at the required angle, but wish to add a semi-transparent overlay with a bombsight on it. I have the BMP for the overlay, and have added it as a new window in the PANEL.CFG, but am not getting it to appear in the camera view.

I suspect I am not referencing the BMP correctly, but would appreciate any guidance on how to put all of this together.

Many thanks.

Regards,

Iain.

While probably not ideal , the following is how I do a similar task in my F-111 panel.

I have a total of 10 Camera views in my panel setup , the one in the shot below is the "Pave Tack" view it faces backwards and a little down
to observe bomb release and impact.

Then I have several Pop up window instruments that I can call up while in the Camera view ,
The instruments called up are , HUD , Radar , and Pave Tack viewer.

The Pave Tack Viewer is FS9:view based , it can be set by it's buttons to absolutely any view angle or direction , in this case it's pointing
forward to facilitate aircraft steering, it also has a variety of text and graphic overlays.

Cheers
Karol

EDIT
This composite shot of the Pave Tack viewer is a little better , shows some view
selections.
