• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi, i am new to this so i wasn't sure where to put the topic.

Anyway i was told to come here to ask whether anyone would be able to or willing to produce AFTS (Advanced Flight Tracking System) for FS2004, as currently there is not such a thing or anything similar and i feel that fs2004 users are a bit left out as we are unable to experience the workings of an Virtual Airline.

Many Thanks.

Hi,

Can you explain a bit more what you expect such a system to do?

Hi i am Rory from SimFly let me explain a bit more AFTS is a program that tracks flight sim flights currently only for FSX what Tom2299 has surgested is could someone here with knowledge of the FS2004 SDK be able to make a program to send the data from FS9 to our server so that we can process it now we have the server written and everything its just basicly a desktop program which will tell our server details like where the player is airspeed altitude and flight plan and flight number i hope this makes it more clear

That makes it more clear indeed, but also sounds like you need to know what the server wants to know. I guess with FSUIPC you can get quite some information out of FS2004 as well, but you need to know what and how to send it to the server. I guess somebody that knows how that server works can do this.

The server is a socket server which i believe uses TCP so the desktop program we have already uses a port to connect to the server also with that Phil(the person that codes the code) will be able to give you everything you need to connect and what data to send really the program has to be able to get the data from FS2004 and send it to our server
