• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

MSFS20 AI aircraft stops on runway. How to build path for runway?

Question 1: I'm working on a GA airport. The yellow taxi lines go out from the taxi and down the runway about 50 ft. if I make the taxi line that meets up with the entry to the taxi path a Runway, it doesn't get a yellow center line with "centerline turned on". The work around to get the lines to look right is to make the path from touch down up to the first taxi entry a "Runway", say 32 at one end and 14 at the other, and have all the rest of the taxi lines on the runway in between be "Taxi". Will that work? Or do the Runway Taxi lines have to cover the whole length of the runway?

Question 2: I can't see any way of attaching the taxi lines to the start points of the runway? Do they need to be?

Question 3: Is there any way to see the direction of a taxipath in dev mode, and in what situations does the direction matter? I've tried to be consistent in always going in one direction, but, obviously that can get interesting in certain situations.

actually, the answer is - having 2 separate nodes....select one (active) then holding down the control key, select the next (they will both turn white, with the translator between them) then right click and select "create path"
this is the trick that no one tells ya.. haha:ziplip:
