• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX AI Problem

Briefly, created flightplan using ttools. I am aware of the FSX\Ttools conflicts. Don't "think" that would apply here. May be wrong?
Sample 1: ac#1,9954,20%,4hr,ifr,11:00:00,11:15:00,050,f,9954,lmml,11:45:00,12:00:00,050,f,9954,lmml
Start FSX and go to airport LMML and watch AI depart and land properly.
Sample 2:
ac#3,8198,20%,4hr,ifr,09:15:30,10:38:51,110,f,8198,lmml,11:00:00,12:23:21,110,f,8198,lipzStart FSX and go to airport LMML. Open Traffic Toolbox\Explorer and watch for my incoming flight. My flight is never seen as "enroute". After 10 or so minutes, "Suddenly", the AI pops in in proper parking spot!!

I continue to watch the departure. The AI works properly on the departure. It is just the arrival causing the problem. Any ideas??
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You may have run into the "37 minute problem".
An excerpt of the thread by Gadgets (see AI flightplanner forum - sticky - Using Prepared Flight Plans with AI Flight Planner) goes:
" if an AI aircraft is scheduled to arrive more than about 37 minutes later than it would based on leg distance divided by the cruising speed specified in the aircraft....txt file, it will not materialize for landing. Instead, it will spawn in a parking spot at the destination airport prior to departure for the next leg. I coined the name “the 37-minute problem”. To address this problem, some suppliers of complete AI add-on packages, such as World of AI (WoAI), and of airline AI flight plans, such as AIG Alpha-India Group, specify a cruise speed of 200 kts for all aircraft in the aircraft file."

[FSX] AI Problem

Just to say "Thank You" for the advice. In Ttools, the aircraft.txt, I went from the default 515 kts to 200 kts and recomplied. Everything perfect now. In the toolbox explorer you now see the "enroute" as expected.
Thanks again
