• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello,

In the manual i see it says about the "37 minutes" delay.

For example i do PANC - PAAQ - in a Cessna 172 by HTAI models on fs2004. i follow the plan and it arrive 15 mins before the actually eta date it turns away from the airport and fly's for ages before turning back.

How can i make it fly to one airport and land straight away without delays?

please help me as I really want to get this right.

All the best

Jovic

Not sure what you think the "37 minute problem" has to do with anything. AIFP allows you to specify the cruising speed of each aircraft and to specify the arrival time for each flight plan leg.. The aircraft should arrive in the vicinity of the destination airport 15 minutes prior to the specified arrival time, and should line up on approach, land and taxi to parking. AIFP has no control how long this "arrival process" will take in any instance.

Got you okay so this is just normal if there just miles away from the airport? they will aim to land at the arrival time i have selected?

Is it a VFR or IFR flight plan? If IFR then the plane will use an IFR approach which is likely to take the aircraft up to 20 nm away from the airport.

I suspect in your case, the airport was very close to the border of the AI sector in which i resides. So, the aircraft proceeded. to the boundary, found it was too close to start a normal approach so turned around to go back to where it would normally start an approach for the runway in use and then did so. AIPF simply tells FS at what to to be at the border of the sector holding the destination. Once the AI rweaches that point, FS takes over entirely.
