Aircraft Cross Hairs

Been reading, a lot to absorb, wanted to know, is there a way to turn the aircraft off so all you see is the red cross hairs when in slew mode top view? That way it would be easier to zero in on the tiny spot like adding light effects.

In map, set height to about 3000ft above ground.

Tere is a neat little program, that also ives you a ground zero crosshair for when you want to flatten ground - it also does the above to save you going 3000ft

Since you are already in slew mode in FSX use the Q key (hold it down) and slew upward like George says to 3000 ft. or even higher. When your finished with adding objects to ADE slew back down to the ground with the Z key (hold it down).
