• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Airline Manager

I would like to see them turn this into a multilayer game where you create games and people can join. We could create a game called "FsDeveloper forum" (or something similar) with a password to join that you would get here by signing up in a thread.

You choose your hub where your main flights fly out of and start to expand with flights to bigger cities and connecting flights to smaller cities. We could all compete and even put your aircraft on the market where other players could buy them if they wanted an aircraft for a little cheaper than buying a brand new aircraft on the market.

First you would choose how long the game goes (a week, month, 3 months...) and whoever has the most passengers at the end wins. You would also get points for having making the most money and having money left over.

I wish they would add multi-stop flights as well as a flight schedule so you don't have to connect every hour or so to start flights.. You create a set schedule like in real life...What you then MUST manage is your fuel, food, employees, etc.. Using realistic turn around times would be great...

Fuel will be $400 per 1000 LBS in about 29 min's from now (the writing of this post). They sell fuel at $200.00 once a month, a very rare sale. I dont know how some people find out when the sales happen. Usually gas if $2700.00 per 1,000 LBS.

Hey all....buy 1000000000's of shares of my stock...I got it DOWN to .04 / share.. You may think a bad thing..but fact is, I refuse to pay 2400 for 1000 pounds of fuel when several times a day it is 500-700... However, today, it hit 500 for 1000 and I was at the airport...and forgot to check it on my phone. DOH!!!! Shot right back up to over 2000 the next hour when I got home.

So, I have my planes just sitting... I have almost 2,000,000 in my account and it's cheaper to let them sit and pay maintenance and salaries than pay that much for fuel... BUT, once fuel prices drop, I will buy a boat load and be flying my new routes and stock prices should shoot upward....so...I wish I could buy my own stock...cause someone is going to make a fortune if they buy mine now...

Just bought about 500,000 lbs at $500. Good thing I saw it my tank was near empty. All day I was waiting till it got to about $1000 per and just bought enough for the next flight.

I still can't find out how to buy stocks. Every company I look at it says there is none available to buy.

I just bought 3,000,000 lbs of fuel for $500 per 1000. :) I almost missed it...was out working in my storage shed for my business and JUST happened to come in, crash in my chair and thought, oh, I wonder what the price is... I saw it was 500 and that it would change in 1 minute 27 seconds. AAAAHHHH!!!!! It went up to 700 for this hour..

I know you can buy my stock...so not sure about other airlines.. And I know you can buy Old North Airways...which I also have stock in.. He is on here...

When I search for a stock, it shows me a screen showing Company, stock value, add to monitored, then a buy and a sell table. Then a transaction agreement..also lists the buying fee (always been 5% when I see it..)

The stock section is NOT very intuitive as to what to do, when, how, what the links are for, etc... but, you can't break it by playing around...

I purchased:

Lion Heart Airlines
Rossdorf am Berg airlines
Old North Airways

I could NOT find Desert Airlines <-- There are only 2 that showed up with the word Desert in it..and I don't think either were yours.. :(

As far as gas prices...how do you know when they go to a certain price? I ask because it was stated that it would be at 400 in x minutes... where do you see the upcoming price??? I only find the current price and then the history.

Went down to $400 just grabbed about a 500,000 lbs. I am about 1 million away from purchasing my first big aircraft so I hate spending all that money but I know it is more than worth it in the long run. I think not having turn around times is the trade-off to starting each flight manually.

Hey Greg,

A friend of mine has an App that tells when the sales are coming up. I have no idea where to get it. I did have a link, tried it, and it wouldnt load on my computer. Probably because I use Safari browser.

If I find out when the next sales are, I'll let you guys know. I'll see about finding the link to the App that tells when fuel rates will appear low.

I now have 2 Boeing 757-300s in my fleet. :D They arent as expensive as some of the others. I would love to get a few 787's, but DANG, are they expensive or WHAT???

Bill

Cool...that'd be a great link to have.. I sold my 737 to get money cause I was in the negative with negative fuel...not sure how that happened but I was screwed.. THEN, I found by looking at the planes, you can get some amazing deals.. I also sold an 8 person jet I had that I was loving cause it went great distances... sadly, the 8 people buying tickets was never enough to make it profitable.. Thus, sold it, and was able to buy a Dornier 328JET. 417K and holds 34pax.. Have it flying down into Panama from KDAY (Dayton, OH, USA) which that plane does just fine... Ticket prices are 1600+ and the plane is packed...and only uses 5lbs fuel per KM.. That trip gets me $31,000 profit per flight.. I have another one in a YAK42D that holds 126pax and gets me almost 70K per flight. Just seems to be a matter of paying attention to when your flights are profitable, and if not, change routes and or sell the plane and look for another... I try to get my best deal I can with good distance (2500-4500KM range) and decent number of pax (at least 34..prefer 50-150)...

By spending money on package advertisement deals, I found that the rating goes up as well as number of people per route.. Also selling meals helps a good deal... Funny, you can have a flight with 18 people on it, and sell 27 meals.. LOL

Also gave all my employees a raise..and found that they are more efficient and that my Reputation went up by 15 points.

Sucks you can't buy your own stock..

Speaking of which, mine is about to go up...so at .02 cents a share right now, you should buy a few 100,000 shares... That's what I did in a stock I found for .01.. I bought 350.000 shares...and that stock is NOW at .03 a share and going up!!!! Wish I could buy my own!!!!!!

Mine is AussieGo Airlines.

42 Aircraft on 42 routes across Australia, Asia, North America and Europe.
2 B787-8s, 4 ATR42-500s, 4 B737-400s, 4 B767-200s, 7 B737-300s, 6 DC10-10s, 1 ATR42-600, 14 Dassault Mercures and a stock value of $2.45. :D

I have enough for a 757-300 right now but I was planning on waiting until tomorrow so I could buy the 767-200. The 767 is a little faster and uses less crew members. The 757 is cheaper and holds 19 more passengers... I wanted to get the 767 but I am slowly leaning to the 757 now. what to do! what to do!?

The B762 has better range.

Fuel is now at $400.00 per 1,000 LBS for the next 55 min's............!

Time to buy some fuel cheap while you can.

The MD80 and MD81 have a high passenger count on them, and Med. range. And.... they are CHEAP! :D

Boeing 753 is inexpensive as well, 240 PAX.

The most profitable aircraft is the Dassault Mercure... holds ~150 passengers, 1700km range, and costs only $850K. I'm running a fleet of them and they earn enough to cover fuel costs and buy a new one each day. That's just from launching flights 3 or 4 times a day.
