I'm currently working on an airport with ADE and GPE and all is going well. Looking ahead, I'm wondering how people create some of the great terrain we see in the "islands" between taxiways, runways and such. Generically, this is where the airport background shows up. I've seen some airports, however, with much better textures and, in some cases, 3d stalks of grass (!)
I know how to do a nice texture for these areas with GPE. I was wondering what other suggested methods there are, especially those that accommodate seasonal changes.
