• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum

FSX Ala12v Torrejon AB

Hello everyone,

Ala 12 Virtual present you this scenery, Ala12v Torrejon AB. Work under FS9, FSX and P3D. The scenery is about Torrejon de Ardoz (Madrid) - LETO which is one of the military airbases on Spain. The proyect was made in 2011 but currently it's supported and updated by Ala12 Virtual team.

The characteristics of this Scenery are:
- Buildings fully modeled from pictures of the airport. (new and retextured buildings come up on v2)
- Photoreal textures of 60 cm per pixel for maximum performance and optimum visual effect.
- FPS Friendly.
- Objects in the military visual points as FOX (factory) Almoguera (water dam), OSCAR (village) ect ... (By vaafse).
- (This only applies to the upcoming v2) Volumetric grass and animated ambient life.

Yes, of course I can do it but these software i suppose it's for a highpoly human model and I need a lowpoly objects. Anyway I'll take a look to this interesting software.. (Maybe I can reduce the polys on 3ds max..)
The idea for the upcoming v2 is to add to the airport a "live ambient" like ORBX give at their sceneries.. This mean, persons walking around the airport or doing a specific action, vehicles moving into the airport, animals like bird on surrounding zones.. (Maybe I can simulate an animated and volumetric grass depending of the winds..) etc..
But take your time because I haven't given a "release date" for this version (v2) and I don't think it will be close..

If that's the problem. Human models are created with many polygons (high quality). Also without clothes. The advantage is that it is highly configurable and easy to use and free.

Personally I have not reached that level. I'm learning with models with many polygons (offshore boat) and is giving me problems, but I am slowly gmax circumventing limitations. I am also dump the maps, reflective ... And I get the highlights and animations. Then start with animations with animated objects.

Very good work, hope to see completed.

Hello, does anyone still have this Scenery for FS2004?
I've lost it in a major HDD Crash together with 6 Terabyte of FS9 Addons...
