• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Ho,

I’d would like to know of it’s possible to animate pre-existing SimObjects or ModelLibs (from third-party publishers in the available packages in dev mode) ?

As I do no want to edit them to create animations in blender, I’d like to animate them from thé dev mode. I Guess it’s possible to handle them with their guid. Some have pre-defined animations, but I would like just to translate them, let’s say make them move around on the ground to make a loop … Well if you guys have ever done that or know existing examples, that would be great ! Many thanks

Maybe this one can help

Hi Federico, thank you very much for that, it's one of the few tutorial videos from you that I haven't seen yet ! But, to do things in the right order, last evening I started with your tutorial "Follow path animation" and ... this morning, I have a wonderful moving John Deere 7130 plowing the field next to my airport, so cool
Next step will be to go further by following the "Waypoints Animation" tutorial !
The idea behind in my first question was : Is it possible to make objects move around on the ground from objects are already present in the packages without using blender at all ? For instance, tractors or vehicles provided by Asobo or Microsoft ... ?
But yesterday evening, I understood that actually, it might be useless ... Thanks again for your great tutos !

Yeah in the waypoint tutorial i'm using a custom GroundVehicle, however you simply need to change the Simobject name in the script with one from the in game library and it will most likely work
